Concrete5 CMS Case Study
The old Brooklands Museum website needed a complete refresh and was fast approaching ten years old. A change to the site architecture was required to ensure that visitors to the museum’s site could clearly distinguish between the important sections of the Brooklands Museum, Concorde, Brooklands Trust Members and the Shop.
With this in mind, a whole new sitemap was produced and 301 redirects put in place to ensure that the old URL’s go to their new pages. A colour scheme was introduced to differentiate the different sections, but maintain the Museum brand across the entire website.
Brooklands Museum is host to amazing buildings, events, objects and vehicles. On the new website, they wanted to create a “window” into this amazing world and give visitors an immediate impression of how informative, fun and exciting Brooklands Museum is.
Concrete5 CMS has been used as the platform and gives museum staff a cutting-edge system that enables them to easily make changes as they view the site and provides the flexibility to update their content with nearly no input from us. This was really important to Brooklands Museum because they wanted to be as self-sufficient as possible with the daily running of the website.
